Water is the #1 thing you don’t want in your diesel. It can corrode components, cause misfires in your engine, and damage the fuel system, which is an expensive fix. Here in Canada we have modern ultra-low sulfur diesel, which is hygroscopic, meaning it attracts and absorbs water.
Condensation from temperature swings, which as we know happens a lot here in Edmonton, Alberta, is the most common way that water gets into your tank.
That is why it is even more important to have proper filtration here for your Powerstroke, Cummins and Duramax.
What the FASS fuel system does
- Water separation: removes over 99% of free water from your diesel.
- Advanced filtration: filters out microscopic dirt and debris down to 2 microns.
- Air and vapour separation: removes entrained air and vapour trapped in diesel fuel before it reaches your pump.
- Pressure regulation: pulls directly from the tank to push a steady, pressurized column of clean diesel to your engine.

- Protects components: can triple the lifespan of expensive fuel injectors and high pressure injection pumps (CP3 or CP4).
- Enhanced performance: improves throttle response, helps lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), and slightly boosts fuel mileage.

Is this recommended alongside a delete/tune, or only after?
It isn’t tied to a delete. It helps protect your fuel components whether you are deleted or not.
How long does installation take?
It takes 1-3 hours to install. It depends on the truck (make, model, condition) and the type of system.
Does this void my factory warranty?
No, installation doesn’t automatically void your warranty. The dealership would have to prove that the problem or failure was caused by the FASS fuel system. Arguing with the dealership would be a headache, so keep that in mind.
